What to send and how to request service

Arizona assignments open from one request. Send the documents and the addresses; we review the filing, the court named on it and the service location, then confirm scope, pricing and scheduling.

Request a Quote

Documents to be served. The filing itself, plus any exhibits, notices or orders that must be delivered with it.

Service address. Street address with any unit, suite or building name. A second known address helps where the first is uncertain.

Defendant name and type. Individual, business entity or registered agent, with any description, employer or access notes you already have.

Court and deadline. The court named on your documents and the date you need service completed by, so scheduling can be confirmed against it.

What you get back. Scope, pricing and available scheduling before anything is dispatched, then an attempt record and service documentation at the close.

Court and address reviewed first

The court named on your documents and the service address are reviewed together before anything is dispatched. Some Arizona municipalities extend across county lines, and an assignment may involve service addresses in different counties. We confirm the physical county and local access conditions for each service address.

Ongoing and high-volume work

Recurring volume, standing instructions and consolidated invoicing are handled by phone rather than through the request form.

Service options

Standard, Rush and Emergency

The documentation standard is the same at every option. What changes is dispatch priority and how quickly coordination begins.

Request a Quote

Standard

Documented multi-attempt service with a filing-ready affidavit.

  • Scheduled through the standard dispatch queue
  • Multiple structured attempts
  • Affidavit prepared for the issuing venue

Rush

Priority scheduling

Priority dispatch and accelerated attempt scheduling.

  • Expedited queue placement, confirmed at intake
  • Attempts begin as soon as an assignment is accepted
  • Same documentation standard

Emergency

Immediate coordination for time-critical court deadlines.

  • Same-day coordination where operationally available
  • Direct coordinator contact
  • Escalation support for approaching hearings

Dispatch timing does not guarantee completion. Completion depends on defendant access, address conditions, and the requirements of the issuing court. How pricing is determined

Primary market

Maricopa County

Maricopa County is our primary Arizona market, covering Phoenix and the surrounding municipalities. We review the court named on the documents, case type, service address and applicable requirements before confirming an assignment. The service address determines where the attempt takes place; it does not independently establish legal venue.

What changes an assignment in Arizona

Arizona addresses are not uniform. Metro towers, gated communities, rural routes and business entities each change how an attempt is planned and how the outcome is recorded.

Urban and high-rise addresses

Downtown Phoenix, Midtown and the Tempe and Scottsdale cores bring concierge desks, secured lobbies, tenant directories and parking constraints. Attempts are planned around building access rather than only the address.

Gated communities and multifamily

Gate codes, guard houses and apartment offices change how an approach is made. Where the gate is closed, the attempt record sets out what was observed so the next step is documented rather than assumed.

Rural and remote addresses

Long drive distances, unpaved routes, tribal land and seasonal access all affect Arizona assignments outside the metro. These are confirmed before a quote is issued rather than after dispatch.

Business and registered agent service

Entity service goes to the registered agent or an officer where the governing rules allow it. The entity, the address and the capacity being served are confirmed at intake.

Recorded either way

A completed service is documented with a signed, sworn affidavit of service describing who was served and the date, time, address and method used. Where service is not completed, the attempts are recorded in a signed, sworn affidavit of non-service or due diligence. Both are executed under penalty of perjury, and an affidavit of non-service is not proof that service occurred.

How it works

How the assignment works

Send the documents and the addresses. What follows is what you are told back, and what arrives at the end.

  1. Send the documents and the address

Documents to be served, the service address with any unit or suite, the defendant name and type, the court named on the filing, and your deadline.

  2. We review and quote

The request is reviewed and you are given scope, pricing and available scheduling before any attempt is made.

  3. Attempts and updates

Each attempt is recorded with date, time, address description, access conditions and outcome, including attempts where no contact was made. You hear the result as it happens.

  4. Escalation where it is needed

If personal service does not succeed, we advise on what the rules allow next, including substitute or alternative service, and what the attempt record supports.

  5. Service results and documentation

When service is completed, a signed, sworn affidavit of service documents the applicable recipient, date, time, location and method of service. When service is unsuccessful, a signed, sworn affidavit of non-service or due diligence documents the attempts, circumstances, findings and unsuccessful outcome. Both are executed under penalty of perjury and prepared in accordance with the applicable jurisdiction's execution and filing requirements.

Questions

Arizona service questions

How do I start an Arizona assignment?

Submit the request with the documents, the service address, the defendant name and type, the court named on the filing and your deadline. You can attach the documents in the request form, or call and we will open it with you.

Do you cover the whole state or only Maricopa County?

Maricopa County is our primary local market. Every other Arizona county is confirmed at intake, so a rural or out-of-metro address is quoted on the same basis as a Phoenix one.

What is the difference between an affidavit of service and an affidavit of non-service?

An affidavit of service records who was served, and the date, time, address and method used. An affidavit of non-service or due diligence records the attempts made, what was observed, and why service was not completed. Both are signed and sworn under penalty of perjury, and an affidavit of non-service does not establish that service was completed.

Can service be completed by mail or by certified mail?

Whether a method other than personal service is allowed depends on the rules governing your case and on what the court has authorized. We serve by the method your filing requires and tell you what the rules allow at each step.

When is pricing confirmed?

Pricing is quoted after the request is reviewed — address type, access, urgency and the documentation the court expects all feed into it. Nothing is dispatched until you accept the scope and price.

What happens if the defendant is not served?

You receive the attempt record and our advice on what the rules allow next, including whether the attempts support a request for substitute or alternative service. The decision rests with the court.
