Process Server by State

Service of process follows state law, and each state defines who may serve, which methods are permitted, and what proof the court accepts. Choose the state where service must be made; the state directory leads to its rules, its courts, and the counties and cities beneath it.

All 50 states. Four featured markets with complete coverage: Texas, Nevada, California and Florida.

The directory

Find the state where service must be made

Search by state name or postal abbreviation. Each entry opens the state hiring page, its coverage, the courts that hear its cases, and the guide to serving papers there.

Featured markets

Four states with the complete system

State requirements, dedicated county and city pages, court resources, and local logistics — built out end to end.

TX · Featured market

Texas

Texas sets one set of rules for citation and service, but the practice differs between a Harris County district court, a Dallas County court at law, and a rural justice court. Assignments are routed to the venue named in the citation, and every attempt is recorded in the form that venue expects.

NV · Featured market

Nevada

Nevada concentrates its civil volume in two counties, and the two operate differently: Clark County carries the resort corridor and a dense justice court structure, while Washoe County covers Reno and Sparks. Both are coordinated, and neither is treated as a suburb of the other.

CA · Featured market

California

California is the most method-specific service state in the country: substituted service requires a mailing and a declaration of diligence, and the proof of service is executed under a statutory section. Assignments are prepared for that record from the first attempt.

FL · Featured market

Florida

Florida service is statutory from start to finish: chapter 48 sets who may serve, what substitute service requires, and what the return states. Miami-Dade anchors the commercial volume, and the rest of the state is coordinated through the same intake.

These four markets carry the full treatment. The remaining states are covered by a state hiring page, with county and city coverage added market by market.

Dedicated coverage

Counties and cities with their own pages

Where a market has a dedicated page, the directory goes straight to it — the venue, the clerk, access considerations, and local courts in one place.

How the directory is organized

From the state rule to the service request

Each level answers a different question. The state sets the rule, the county sets the venue, the city sets the conditions on the ground, and the request starts the work.

  1. 01

    State directory

Start here: the rule that governs service, who may serve it, and the courts that hear cases in that state.

  2. 02

    County pages

Narrow to the county where service will be made, with the venue, the clerk, and the local filing expectations.

  3. 03

    City pages

Where a market has its own page, the address, access conditions, and municipal courts are set out.

  4. 04

    Start service

Open the assignment with documents, recipient information, the service address, and the deadline.

Request service in any state

Send the documents, the party to be served, the service address, and the deadline. The governing state, county, and venue are confirmed at intake, and the assignment is coordinated from there.

Online intake is open 24/7. Assignments outside Arizona are coordinated coverage, confirmed before an attempt is made.
