Send the documents, the service address and the deadline. This section covers what we need, how attempts are recorded, and what is confirmed before a server is dispatched in Peoria.
Documents to be served. The documents attached to the request, so the type of proceeding and the governing rules are known before an attempt is scheduled.
Defendant name and individual or business status. The defendant name and whether the recipient is an individual or a business entity. Service on a person and service on an entity are prepared differently from the first attempt.
Complete service address and access instructions. Street address, unit, suite or lot number, plus anything that governs entry — a community entrance, a front desk, an event-day closure, a private lane or a management office. Access details belong with the address rather than being discovered at the door.
Issuing court, case information and deadline. The court named on your filing, the case number if you have it, and the date you need service completed by. The court named on the documents drives the filing requirements; the service address is only where delivery happens.
Pricing and scheduling factors. Address type and access, travel distance within Peoria, urgency, how many attempts the address is likely to take, and the proof format the receiving court expects. Pricing and available scheduling are confirmed before dispatch.
Standard, Rush or Emergency at intake. Choose the dispatch priority when you submit. Priority changes coordination and dispatch scheduling, not the documentation standard or whether service succeeds.
Documented attempts and progress updates. Every attempt records the date, time, address description, access conditions met and outcome, including each attempt where no contact was made. Updates reach you as attempts are completed rather than only at the end of the assignment.
What happens after you submit. Requests are reviewed in the order received. Online intake is open 24/7, and an urgent deadline should be flagged by phone so it can be coordinated rather than assumed.
Scope, pricing and scheduling confirmed before dispatch. We review the court named on your documents, the service address, the document type and your instructions. Nothing is dispatched until you accept the confirmed scope, pricing and scheduling.
Court and address reviewed together
The court named on your documents and the service address are reviewed together, not one in place of the other. Nothing is dispatched until scope, pricing and scheduling are confirmed.Recurring law-firm and high-volume assignments
Firms with recurring volume, standing instructions and consolidated invoicing are handled by phone rather than through the request form.
Service options
Service priority affects coordination and dispatch scheduling. It does not guarantee successful service or completion by a particular deadline, and the documentation standard is the same at every option. Availability is confirmed when the assignment is reviewed, not assumed from the option selected.
Documented multi-attempt service with a filing-ready affidavit.
Priority dispatch and accelerated attempt scheduling.
Immediate coordination for time-critical court deadlines.
Dispatch timing does not guarantee completion. Completion depends on defendant access, address conditions, and the requirements of the issuing court. How pricing is determined
Service conditions
Peoria assignments run from Old Town and the P83 district through central and south Peoria to Vistancia, the mountains on the north side and the Lake Pleasant corridor. Service planning follows the specific address, its access conditions and the intended recipient rather than the part of town it sits in.
Peoria covers a historic commercial core around Old Town, a separate entertainment and sports district at P83, established residential neighborhoods through the center and south, and master-planned communities and newer development toward the north and the Lake Pleasant corridor. Two addresses in the same part of town can present very different conditions, and in each case the documents still have to reach a person.
Old Town Peoria is centered near Peoria Avenue, Grand Avenue and 83rd Avenue. The P83 district is a different area near Bell Road and the Peoria Sports Complex, and the two are treated separately here. Access conditions are confirmed for each assignment rather than assumed: a community entrance, an event schedule or a front desk shapes how an attempt is made, but none of them decides who may be served or which service method is permitted.
The city’s original commercial core near Peoria Avenue, Grand Avenue and 83rd Avenue — historic commercial street frontage, older residential blocks, offices, storefronts and properties with separate entrances or more than one unit. Numbering and entrances do not always match the street frontage, so the structure, unit and intended recipient are confirmed before an attempt instead of being inferred from the address line.
The entertainment district around Bell Road and 83rd Avenue, with retail, restaurants, hotels, offices and the Peoria Sports Complex at 16101 N. 83rd Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85382. Event days change parking, entry points and vehicle access, so attempt times are planned around the schedule where it applies. Not every nearby business is subject to stadium security or event restrictions: conditions at the specific building are confirmed rather than assumed from the district.
Established residential neighborhoods, apartments, condominium properties and commercial corridors, including addresses with shared entries or several units behind one entrance. Unit numbering and frequent tenant changes matter most here: the person at the door is not automatically the person named on the documents, so the address and recipient are verified first.
Master-planned residential communities, newer development and subdivision streets where the address is confirmed before the first attempt. HOA procedures can affect entry where they apply, but not every property is gated and a community name does not establish what happens at a particular entrance.
Residential communities within the Vistancia area that can carry different access conditions from one another and from the surrounding subdivisions. Entrance requirements are confirmed at the individual address before an attempt; community membership and gate restrictions are not assumed from the community name.
Northern residential neighborhoods with hillside parcels, varied street layouts and driveways that sit away from the roadway. Address verification and a clear description of the approach are part of planning an attempt, and the exact entrance is confirmed rather than assumed from the street name.
The northern part of the city toward Lake Pleasant, where travel distances are longer, development is more recent and recreation-adjacent properties can show variable occupancy. Occupancy is verified rather than assumed: not every property in the corridor is seasonal, a resort or a vacation rental.
Recently platted addresses and growing communities along the northwest side can require verification against current parcel and street records before a server is sent, because a newly assigned address may not yet appear consistently in standard data.
The correct legal entity is identified first, then a recipient authorized under the applicable service rules. Arizona Corporation Commission statutory-agent records may be checked where they are relevant to the entity. A receptionist, employee, security officer or manager is not automatically authorized to accept legal service for every business.
Attempt times and days are varied, addresses are verified as accurate, access conditions and outcomes are documented, and relevant investigation is used so the record can support legally permissible next steps where the rules allow them. A restricted entrance or uncertainty about who occupies an address does not on its own authorize substitute or alternative service.
Long travel distances between the south and north of the city, private entrances, HOA procedures, event traffic and restricted access all affect how an attempt is planned and when it can be made. They do not independently determine legal service methods and do not justify substitute or alternative service.
Access conditions are not legal requirements
Community entrances, HOA procedures, event-day closures and front desks shape how an attempt is made. They do not change who may be served or what the rules require, and a restricted entry on its own does not permit substitute or alternative service.Neighborhoods
The twelve Peoria areas that come up most often in assignments. Published destinations are linked; the rest are named as coverage areas served within the city. Neighboring communities and other cities’ districts are not treated as Peoria neighborhoods.
Old Town Peoria and the P83 district are separate places: Old Town is the original commercial core near Peoria Avenue, Grand Avenue and 83rd Avenue, while P83 sits near Bell Road and the Peoria Sports Complex. Trilogy at Vistancia and Blackstone at Vistancia are named as communities within the broader Vistancia area rather than as separate pages, and the boundaries between overlapping communities are not drawn precisely here. Festival Fields is in Avondale, the Cactus District is a Glendale city council district and Arrowhead Ranch is Glendale-area geography, so none of them is presented as a Peoria neighborhood; the municipality is always confirmed from the service address.
Courts
The court named on your documents and the applicable venue requirements are reviewed alongside the service address, not instead of it. Peoria lies primarily in Maricopa County, with a very small incorporated portion in Yavapai County, so an unusual northern address is checked for its actual county and court rather than assumed.
Peoria Municipal Court
10100 N. 83rd Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345
Peoria Municipal Court handles criminal misdemeanors, traffic violations, city code violations, injunctions against harassment and orders of protection. It is not the court for ordinary civil lawsuits or small claims between private parties. The court named on your documents is what governs, and it is confirmed at intake.
Maricopa County Superior Court
Civil, family, probate and other matters within Superior Court jurisdiction are handled by the appropriate Superior Court divisions and facilities. A Peoria assignment is not automatically filed at 201 W. Jefferson Street in Phoenix; the issuing court and its filing requirements are confirmed from the case documents.
Maricopa County Justice Courts
Justice court precincts handle the matters assigned to them by statute. The precinct that issued the filing is confirmed from the documents and the official precinct map, not inferred from the neighborhood or from where a courthouse happens to sit.
Arrowhead, Manistee and Hassayampa justice courts are housed at the Northwest Regional Court Center, 14264 W. Tierra Buena Lane in Surprise. A shared courthouse address does not establish a precinct’s geographic boundary, so a Peoria address is not assigned to a court by the location of a courthouse or by the neighborhood it sits in — Vistancia, Old Town, the Lake Pleasant corridor and other Peoria areas are not preassigned to a precinct here. The precinct is checked against the official precinct maps and confirmed from the filing.
Court hours, calendars and filing information from the city.
Service areas are confirmed against the county’s own precinct maps.
The issuing court, legal venue and service address are different considerations. The court named on the filing and applicable rules determine documentation and filing requirements. The service address identifies where the documents must be delivered; it does not independently establish legal venue.
Process
From your request to documented results, the same five steps apply. The final document depends on whether service is completed.
The documents to be served, the service address with unit, suite or access details, the defendant name and type, the court named on the filing, and your deadline.
We review the court named on your documents, the address and the instructions, then confirm scope, pricing and available scheduling before anything is dispatched.
Each attempt records the date, time, address description, access conditions met and outcome, including attempts where no contact was made. Updates reach you as they happen.
If personal service does not succeed, we set out what the governing rules allow next — substitute service where those rules permit it, or an application for alternative service where a court order is required — and what the attempt record supports.
When service is completed, a signed, sworn affidavit of service documents the applicable recipient, date, time, location and method of service. When service is unsuccessful, a signed, sworn affidavit of non-service or due diligence documents the attempts, circumstances, findings and unsuccessful outcome. Both are executed under penalty of perjury and prepared in accordance with the applicable jurisdiction's execution and filing requirements.
What comes back depends on the outcome
Every assignment receives final sworn documentation. Successful service produces an affidavit of service. Unsuccessful service produces an affidavit of non-service or due diligence. Attempt logs and progress updates support the final affidavit but do not replace it. An affidavit of non-service is not proof that service was completed.Who may serve in Peoria
Arizona-certified private process servers may serve process statewide, subject to applicable limitations, so certification is not repeated court by court or precinct by precinct. Where the governing rules permit it, a copy may be left at the defendant’s dwelling or usual place of abode with a person of suitable age and discretion who resides there; the rules that apply depend on the proceeding, the documents and any court orders, and no universal additional-mailing requirement or fixed number of prior unsuccessful personal attempts is imposed on that method. Alternative service requires court authorization where the governing rules require an order. Arizona eligibility guideDocuments & related locations
